The first “community-driven” product to join the
Bonbori world: our response to your most frequently expressed wish!

Kinu Smoothing Eye Cream features a formula specifically designed to provide effective eye care, simultaneously addressing the signs of aging and the appearance of dark circles thanks to a blend of a Botox-like peptide complex—which helps reduce the visibility of expression lines—and active ingredients that, by stimulating microcirculation, help reduce the dark, dull appearance of under-eye circles.

Its buttery, nourishing texture absorbs instantly, leaving a silky finish similar to a smoothing primer. Its unique texture also sets it apart from most eye creams on the market: typically, eye creams have a very fluid texture (sometimes even liquid, as with roll-ons); whereas Kinu has a buttery, silky texture that nourishes, hydrates, and smooths the eye area, providing an immediate soothing and calming effect capable of bringing relief even to the most tired eyes (a true treat at the end of the day after long hours of work in front of computer or phone screens). Its texture absorbs instantly, without interfering with makeup application.

Kinu is fragrance-free, natural-based, nickel-tested, and dermatologically tested on sensitive skin. Kinu is an AIAB-certified eco-organic product with a naturalness index of 97.269%.

1) reduces the depth of expression lines thanks to a peptide complex that works through a mechanism similar to that of botulinum toxin (Botox)

2) a marine-derived active ingredient* capable of significantly stimulating collagen synthesis (in vitro analysis), reducing the depth of wrinkles, and giving the skin greater tone and firmness (in vivo analysis)

*This marine active ingredient precisely replicates the behavior that bacteria in the most extreme marine ecosystems adopt to survive under adverse conditions (e.g., harsh climates, environmental stress): the same defensive mechanism applied in cosmetics—thanks to the same complex exopolysaccharides found in marine bacteria—helps protect the skin from premature aging by shielding it from environmental stress, damage to the skin barrier, and loss of hydration and elasticity

3) It reduces, lightens, and brightens the appearance of dark under-eye circles (significant reduction in the “yellowish undertone,” significant increase in radiance to counteract a dull and tired appearance, and reduced visibility of vascular dark circles as early as the first 4 weeks, according to in vivo analyses), thanks to a bioflavonoid (alpha-glucosyl hesperidin) derived from citrus fruits** that stimulates microcirculation. It helps reduce the yellowish undertone around the eyes

1) Is it suitable for sensitive skin and eyes?

A. Kinu Smoothing Eye Cream is dermatologically tested on sensitive skin and is completely fragrance-free (no added fragrance) so that even the most sensitive eyes can tolerate it well.

2) Should Kinu be applied before or after face cream?

A. There isn’t one order that’s significantly better than another: generally, the rule is to apply the product with the lightest texture first and the product with the richest texture last. However, it makes sense to apply Kinu Smoothing Eye Cream after the serum (for example, Taki Moist Lotion) and before the face cream, especially if the cream you’re going to apply contains sunscreen (Hikari Daily Sunscreen).

Utilizzo

Apply Kinu to the eye area, gently massaging it in with your fingertips until it is completely absorbed. For a more draining effect, we recommend starting at the outer corner of the eye and moving inward, continuing the massage onto the upper eyelid as well, using your fingers to trace a 360° circle.

EXTRA INFO

Thanks to its silky texture and smoothing primer effect, this eye cream is named “Kinu,” which means “silk” in Japanese.
