OFURO CLEANSING OIL

€29,00

Face make-up remover oil

100 mL

Ofuro cleansing oil is the first step in the double cleansing ritual: a cleansing and makeup-removing oil made with organic olive oil and green tea extract.

Forget aggressive makeup removers that leave the skin dry or reddened! Rich in vitamin E and plant-derived squalane, Ofuro cleanses, nourishes and hydrates the skin while maintaining its lipid balance and enhancing brightness.

Specifically designed to be rinsed off with water, it eliminates the need for disposable pads and can be easily removed without leaving a greasy residue.

1) It effectively removes all fat-soluble impurities such as makeup (including waterproof makeup), sebum, and sunscreen, without stressing the skin;

2) Thanks to the gentleness of its natural surfactants, it removes makeup while leaving the skin soft and hydrated, without that dry, tight feeling often experienced after cleansing;

3) It can also be used by those with combination or oily skin thanks to the skin-purifying properties of green tea;

4) It is a water-soluble oil: it rinses off effectively with water without leaving any “greasy” feeling on the face.

Olive oil: It has a pronounced emollient action, counters water loss from the epidermis, and soothes redness. A valuable ally even for the most sensitive skins.

Green tea extract: Rich in polyphenols with pronounced antioxidant properties and tannins, which with their dermopurifying and astringent properties are useful in treating oily and impure skin. Ofuro oil can also be used by those with combination or oily skin.

Squalane: By regenerating the lipid film that prevents the assault of external agents, it has a protective function for the skin, hydrating and softening.

1) I’ve noticed that Ofuro Cleansing Oil stings my eyes. Why is that?

A. Ofuro is a cleansing oil of natural origin, including the surfactant used. Its lipid-based nature and the type of surfactant may cause a slight stinging sensation when it comes into contact with the eye’s mucous membrane, but this poses no risk to eye health. To use the product correctly, massage Ofuro Cleansing Oil onto your dry face with dry hands until the makeup dissolves, keeping your eyes tightly closed. Only then should you add water to rinse, being careful not to let the product—which becomes more liquid when mixed with water—run into your eyes, which should remain closed.

2) Does it make sense to use an oil-based makeup remover for oily skin?

A. Absolutely. First of all, harsh cleansing products containing strong surfactants and powerful “degreasing” agents are certainly not suitable for combination or oily skin. Conversely, an oil-based cleanser—free of strong surfactants and non-comedogenic (such as Ofuro Cleansing Oil)—is highly recommended for combination or oily skin. It works by affinity on sebaceous skin without having an excessively “degreasing” effect, thus maintaining the skin’s lipid balance. This way, the skin will not feel the need to produce excess sebum to rebalance itself. Furthermore, thoroughly massaging the oil-based cleanser onto a dry face can help reduce or manage the presence of sebaceous filaments and, over time, reduce the occurrence of blackheads.

3) Will my face feel oily after using Ofuro Cleansing Oil?

A. Ofuro is a water-soluble makeup remover: once it comes into contact with water, it will begin to dissolve and be completely removed without leaving any oily residue on the skin. For this same reason, it’s also important not to compromise its makeup-removing power by adding water too soon (Ofuro should be massaged onto a dry face, with dry hands, until all makeup is completely removed).

EXTRA INFO

In Japanese tradition, Ofuro is the ancient ritual of bathing: not just a simple bath in a tub, but an evening ritual to relax, purify, and free oneself from daily stress. It reminds us of the same feeling of freedom and lightness that we seek in the evening when we wish to remove makeup.
