JAPANESE RITUAL
Bonbori draws gentle inspiration from the Japanese beauty tradition, which emphasizes simple yet daily self-care. There are no beauty secrets. “Sonae areba urei nashi” is similar to our saying “prevention is better than cure” and is the one true principle behind preventive practices and beauty rituals that have been part of Japanese tradition for centuries: double cleansing, double moisturizing, and sun protection. Did you know that double cleansing is a ritual introduced by geishas hundreds of years ago?
Bonbori products are natural-based and suitable even for the most sensitive skin. They feature a few carefully selected ingredients and light, easily absorbed textures that are refreshing, effective, and sensorial.
Bonbori is certified by AIAB, a certification body that promotes the use of raw materials from organic farming and the reduction of the environmental impact of cosmetic products.
KIREI-SABI
Kirei-sabi refers to a sense of beauty and delicate elegance. Together with wabi-sabi, it is the philosophy that inspires us to look beyond appearances: to perceive hidden elegance, to be moved by beauty, and to discover charm in gestures and behaviors. There is charm in the faces of all ages, in pure and simple beauty, where naturalness and radiance take center stage regardless of the signs of aging or imperfections.

CHIKIU
Chikyu is our Planet Earth. In Japanese culture, humanity’s connection to nature and the earth is so deep that it is celebrated in countless ways. We feel this connection strongly. Bonbori has consciously chosen to minimize unnecessary packaging and make the necessary packaging versatile. The PET used for the bottles is almost entirely recycled. The glass bottles are protected by recyclable, biodegradable paper sleeves made from the creative reuse of invasive seaweed. The labels on all bottles are made from films derived from renewable wood-based raw materials.
